Obama to speak to Alachua County school children

School District encouraging schools to show Obama speech to students Thursday

In other areas of the state and country, some school districts plan to tune out Tuesday when President Barack Obama makes his televised speech to schoolchildren amid opposition from some parents who allege the speech will serve as a political platform.

In Alachua County, Superintendent Dan Boyd is encouraging all schools to show the speech to students.

"We are going to respect the president of the United States of America, and we are going to provide an opportunity for the president of the United States of America to address teachers and students," Boyd said.

...

The article states that as of Friday morning (9/4/2009) only 10 emails from parents in Alachua county have been sent to Superintendent Boyd complaining about the speech... Surely more than 10 people think that the President speaking directly to our children is not a good thing. Not because he is a Democrat, not because we have different political views, and not because of race. Because his moral values do not match mine, because his friends and acquaintances' morals do not match mine, and because he has done more to harm our children's future through out of control spending and overwhelming debt than any one man in the past 100 years.

Please wake up America... our responsibility to our children requires it.

Obama's Czars Draw Criticism From Both Sides of the Political Aisle

Saturday, July 18, 2009

By some accounts, Obama has nearly three dozen czars in his administration, managing everything from closing the Guantanamo Bay detention facility to ending the genocide in Darfur.

Republicans and some Democrats are complaining that there are too many so-called czars in the Obama administration, and now the Senate Health committee even is proposing a health care czar to oversee the overhaul of the system.

By some accounts, Obama has nearly three dozen czars in his administration, managing everything from closing the Guantanamo Bay detention facility to ending the genocide in Darfur.

"The accumulation of power by White House staff can threaten the Constitutional system of checks and balances," Sen. Robert Byrd, D-W. Va., wrote in a letter to Obama.

Biden Says 'Everyone Guessed Wrong' on Unemployment Numbers

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

WASHINGTON -- Vice President Joe Biden said Sunday that "everyone guessed wrong" on the impact of the economic stimulus, but he defended the administration's spending designed to combat rising joblessness.

Biden said inaccuracies in unemployment predictions shouldn't undercut the White House's support of the $787 billion economic revival plan that has not met the expectations of President Obama's team. Instead, the vice president urged skeptics to look at teachers who kept their classroom assignments and police officers who kept their beats because of financial assistance from Washington.

"The bottom line is that jobs are being created that would not have been there before," Biden said.

But they are not coming at the pace first estimated.

Just 10 days before taking office, Obama's top economic advisers released a report predicting unemployment would remain at 8 percent of below through this year if an economic stimulus plan won congressional approval.

Yet the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that unemployment in May rose to 9.4 percent.
Biden said the White House is keenly aware of the gap between the rhetoric used to sell fast passage of the legislation and the reality that has 14.5 million people unemployed.

America's First Muslim President?

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

During his White House years, William Jefferson Clinton -- someone Judge Sonia Sotomayor might call a "white male" -- was dubbed "America's first black president" by a black admirer. Applying the standard of identity politics and pandering to a special interest that earned Mr. Clinton that distinction, Barack Hussein Obama would have to be considered America's first Muslim president.

This is not to say, necessarily, that Mr. Obama actually is a Muslim any more than Mr. Clinton actually is black. After his five months in office, and most especially after his just-concluded visit to Saudi Arabia and Egypt, however, a stunning conclusion seems increasingly plausible: The man now happy to have his Islamic-rooted middle name featured prominently has engaged in the most consequential bait-and-switch since Adolf Hitler duped Neville Chamberlain over Czechoslovakia at Munich.

Petition President Obama: “No Amnesty for Illegal Aliens!”

Wednesday, June 3, 2009

About the Petition:
The push for amnesty is officially beginning on June 8, when President Obama hosts a
closed door meeting (hidden from the American people) of bi-partisan Congressional leaders at the White House to “start a dialogue” about comprehensive immigration reform.

Pandering to the open border special interests, Obama promised the Hispanic Caucus in late May that he would launch immigration reform this year and seek to find ways to as he says “bring illegal aliens out of the shadows and into the light of citizenship.”

Added to that is Obama’s strong support for giving illegals access to taxpayer funded benefits—including healthcare services, education, housing and jobs. Given the state of the economy, adopting an open-boarder agenda will spark an invasion of illegals that will decimate our nation—threatening our sovereignty and way of life.

Through our national petition opposing any amnesty plan, we expect to mobilize 1 million grassroots Americans who by signing our national petition stand for secured borders and strict enforcement of existing laws.

The Obama administration has petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to protect Saudi Arabia and four of its princes from being held accountable for their alleged role in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the United States that killed almost 3,000 Americans, according to a report in Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.
